Further, state officers are restricted from any gainful gambling with other state offices. Though it is not a criminal offence, it attracts disciplinary action where if repeated in a span of one year will lead to demotion or dismissal²¹. To complement this, state officials are required to declare their wealth within and outside the republic of Kazakhstan and file their tax returns on annual income as prescribe by law
